Please
contact the Foundation if you have
questions about how to apply for a grant for your
organization.
The Calaveras Community
Foundation currently distributes “unrestricted” funds once per
year, usually during the summer months. The Board annually selects an
amount of funding to be made available for grants.
The Foundation's Grants and Scholarships
Committee reviews the applications and select the most
worthy for grants that year. A simple written agreement is
executed between the recipient and the Foundation and funds must
typically be spent within one year of receipt.
In general, the
Foundation does not approve grant requests outside the normal
grant review cycle.
Scholarship applications are submitted
directly through the high schools. Please contact your
respective high school to learn about the application process.
In general, applications are submitted in the fall/winter and
awarded each May.
Scholarships currently administered by the
Foundation include:
• Childs-Hurst Renewable
Scholarship • 39th District Agricultural
Association Scholarships • Angels Camp Centennial
Rotary Scholarship • Calaveras Cancer Support
Group Scholarship • Calaveras Enterprise
Scholarship • Fred Katz Memorial Scholarship
